Other Morris Teams in Winnipeg
Village Green Morris Men
The Village Green Morris Men claim to be the oldest Cotswold side in Western Canada. They were founded in 1974 at the same time as the Village Green English Country Dancers by the late John Trevenen and the late David Williams. John was a student at Pinewoods in the early 1970's, and later taught there.
The Village Green Morris Men are still going strong, surviving personnel changes and various kits. Their present kit is white peasant shirts, black knee breeches, white socks, green and yellow baldricks with rosettes, and straw hats with green ribbons. And, of course, bells. Hopefully pictures will follow shortly. (Pictures of them not in kit can be found here.)
